Centre for Teaching and Administrative Excellence in Ukrainian Vocational Education

On November 29, 2021, the Strategic Session-Presentation entitled "Teaching and Administrative Excellence at Ukrainian Vocational Colleges: Partnership and European Standards» was carried out at Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy on the occasion of All-Ukrainian Week for Vocational Training. The event was held in a hybrid format, involving offline and online working models via Google Meet, as well as broadcasting on YouTube.

The Strategic Session-Presentation entitled "Teaching and Administrative Excellence at Ukrainian Vocational Colleges: Partnership and European Standards» was carried out at Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy on the occasion of All-Ukrainian Week for Vocational Training.

The strategic session was held by UEPA in conjunction with the Vocational Training Directorate at the national Ministry of Education and Science, the Research and Methodological Centre for Vocational Training in Kharkiv Region and the Association for Vocational and Life-Long Training within the framework of Erasmus + project entitled "New Mechanisms of  Partnership-Based Governance and Standardization of  Vocational Teacher Education in Ukraine” (PAGOSTE).

The programmed output included a wide range of events, namely:

— The Strategic Session;

— formal  opening of The Centre for Teaching and  Administrative Excellence in Ukrainian Vocational (Technical) Education;

— The Exhibition-Presentation entitled "Advanced Education in Kharkiv Region through  University Partnership";

— The Training Session entitled "Teaching and Administrative Excellence at Ukrainian Vocational Colleges"

— the round table  on "Partnership for Vocational Teacher Training in Ukraine and Building up the Association for Vocational and Life-Long Education Development”.

Among the distinguished guests and key speakers of the strategic session-presentation there were Iryna SHUMIK,  the Directorate for Vocational Training at the national Ministry of Education and Science CEO;  Anzhelika KRUTOVA, the Department for Science and Education at Kharkiv Regional State Administration Director; Mykhailo ISHCHENKO,  Chief Technologist at the joint-stock company "Ukrainian Power Machines"; Zhanna TALANOVA, Expert on Analytical Issues at the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine, Coordinator of the National Team of Experts on Higher Education Reform; Thomas DAISINGER, Erasmus + PAGOSTE Project Coordinator, Professor at the University of Konstanz (Germany); Tatiana RUSLANOVA, the Science and Methodology Centre for Vocational Training in Kharkiv region Director;  Oleksandra BORODIENKO, Head of the Foreign Systems Laboratory for Vocational Training at the Institute for Vocational Training at the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine; Rodion KOLYSHKO, Director of the Institute for Professional Qualifications, Adviser to the Confederation of Ukrainian Employers; , Ihor HEVKO, Vice-Rector for Educational and Methodological Work at Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatyuk.

The event was held in a hybrid format, involving offline and online working models via Google Meet, as well as broadcasting on YouTube.

Generally, over 600 people joined the strategic session. 540 people checked in to participate online and over 60 people were involved in person on the campus of Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy.

Among them there were over 50 teachers, 45 vocational training instructors, and 65 representatives of vocational training administration; over 100 guidance counselors working at regional resource centres for vocational training institutions, 76 teachers and 81 representatives of the senior staff at vocational training colleges, 106 lecturers and 30 representatives of the university senior staff.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine officials, the National ERASMUS + Office representatives, the reform support team-members at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as public organizations representatives checked in to participate in the strategic session-presentation, too.

Geographically, universities, colleges, vocational training institutions and Scientific and Teaching Council representatives from all over Ukraine and from Germany were involved in the Strategic session-presentation`s and participated in its activities.
