About the organisation

 

Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) is leading educational establishment in the field of economic education. It was founded in 1906. The KNEU’s mission is to contribute to the society development by means of scientific research, generation and dissemination of new knowledge, and training of competitive specialists and creative personalities.

Strategic goals: establishment of the university as a leading national scientific and educational centre; development of the intellectual potential and competitiveness of the university; creation of modern infrastructure and management system.

The educational process at the University is provided by 6 faculties, 3 institutes, and Department of Military Preparation for more than 11,000 students. Training of students is carried out on the bachelor, master and academic (PhD, DSc) higher education levels.

Achievements and activities:

  • University Innovative Development Programme 2019-2021;
  • Establishment and successful operation of 13 research institutes;
  • Establishment of new educational and training centres;
  • Successful operation of the Moodle platform for distance learning;
  • Successful  operation of the Perspektyva Employer Relations and Students Job Placement Centre;
  • Putting in operation the Institutional Repository (IRKNEU);
  • Maintaining international relations by being a member of 10 international organizations such as EDAMBA, EPLO, Magna Charta Universitatum, Regional Studies Association (RSA) etc.

KNEU has bilateral agreements with more than 70 foreign partner universities collaborates in terms of staff internship, students exchange and joint research.

Role and function in the project

Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) is a national coordinator of the project. Its main responsibilities are to coordinate Ukrainian partners’ activities relating to project registration, monitoring and dissemination, to develop and implement mechanism of partnership-based governance (PBG) in university, to participate in the development of amendments to educational standards of VTE, to organize a workshop and a conference, to host trainings.  The project team is responsible for involving staff of Department of Pedagogy and Psychology in the all project activities.

The KNEU is also in charge of communication with the National Erusmus+ Office in Ukraine.

The university is liable for implementation of dissemination strategy in Ukraine, including developing and maintaining the project Facebook page, writing and sending newsletters, sharing information about project and its results among stakeholders.

The KNEU is planning to establish Professional Advisory Committee for specialty “Vocational Education (Economics)” (Educational Program “Economic and Business Education”), to adopt all necessary regulations of its activities, to launch training digital classroom and to develop training programmes for teachers from vocational schools.
